7th Sept 2008
At Sparsholt Village Hall, Sparsholt, Nr Winchester.SO21 2NR (MAP)
Hugh Milsom FRPS & John Wells FRPS (Divergent Views)

Hugh Milsom is an accomplished photographer, writer and lecturer specialising in fine art landscape photography. Hugh's personal style is evident in both his monochrome and colour work. His images vary from being dark and dramatic to studies of great refinement and delicacy but there is always a mood and a sense of space and loneliness. The mood comes from his empathy with the landscape and an understanding of the way that light and colour, tone and contrast can affect our emotional reaction. Hugh will be talking about his landscape prints both mono and colour of his favourite places around the UK and Ireland. The talk will include many images from his book and some of his recent work and hopefully some from his recent visit to Iceland.
John Wells is a member of the Gamma Photoforum Group located at Bradford and lectures throughout the U.K. on behalf of Permajet . His photographic interests are varied covering all aspects of digital photography including landscape, environmental portraits, creative, contemporary, Polaroid manipulations and street photography. John's talk is entitled "The Third Coming of Age" which has nothing to do with the content of the Lecture but reflects more on his sense of humour. Content will include everything from Colour to Monochrome, Street Photography to Landscape and Polaroids to Infra-red. You name it John's tried it!  John tells us you might not like every picture he exhibits but he thinks you might be inspired to broaden your horizons.  Tickets £10

Outdoor Photographic Event
At Goodwood Historic Race Circuit, West Sussex

Breakfast meeting 08:30 to 12:00hrs.
We join the Goodwood P.R. team at one of their now successful Breakfast Club meetings which are themed events around classic cars. The exact detail of this event has not been published by Goodwood to date. However, the following paragraph details the May 2008 Breakfast Club meeting which can be used as guidance as to what to expect:
"Two wheels or more, excluding four – everything from bikes to buses and trikes to trucks.
Attracting: Any non-four-wheeled vehicle, including motorcycles, scooters, three-wheelers, multi-wheeled commercial vehicles, tanks, etc., no matter how bizarre".
Parking for non-themed spectator vehicles has also been improved to get enthusiasts closer to their breakfast, and some mouth-watering machines. It is now also easier than ever for enthusiasts to savour a delicious and hearty home-reared Goodwood organic breakfast, with more serving and seating positions located along the main Circuit Pit Straight.
Admission to the Goodwood Breakfast Club meeting is free; there is a cost for breakfast of around £12. Please book your place as usual through the RPS Southern Region booking secretary and indicate if you require breakfast or not, the Southern Region will make one block booking to secure your place and breakfast.
The Breakfast Club meeting finishes around 12:00hrs but there is much more to see, photograph and do at Goodwood after the event as follows:-

2. Goodwood Farm Shop on your way home? It's just a stone's throw from the Goodwood Motor Circuit, nestling in the heart of the countryside.
